The SRT8 uses an exclusive 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 engine coupled with a new six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission with Auto Stick that sends a blistering 425 horsepower. It sprints from zero to 60 mph within five seconds. The R/T is packed with a new-generation 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission that generates 370 horsepower. The upgraded HEMI engine provides five percent improvement in fuel economy and increase of 30 horsepower and eight pound feet improved torque. The R/T gallops from zero to 60 mph within six seconds.Body and stylingThe 2010 Dodge Challenger is a neat value package. The exterior gets a long, raised performance hood with scoops and recessed grille with round dual headlamps that are characteristic of its predecessors. The bold character line runs from stem to stern lending an instantly recognizable muscle machine profile to the vehicle. The interior of the 2010 Dodge Challenger enhances comfort and functionality. The trapezoidal theme of the door-panel cove and gauge cluster, slanted shifter console and dark headliner are motivated by the original Dodge Challenger.
