2010 Jeep Wrangler Review OverviewThe Jeep Wrangler is more refined for 2010 with a new and improved Sunrider soft-top system, making it even easier to remove the top for that open-air experience on- or off-road. This is a vehicle with great off-road capability. The Jeep Wrangler beats any other name in the market by a mile. Being the most powerful Jeep ever introduced, one can safely bet that there is no substitute for the Jeep Wrangler when it comes to arduous trailblazing. This is one of the highest tributes to its lineage. It is an offspring of the Willys that was used extensively during World War II. The official name of Wrangler came about only in 1987. For 2010, it comes with some significant changes.Power and performanceThe 2010 Jeep Wrangler is offered in Rubicon, Sahara, and Wrangler X trims. The two-door Rubicon and Sahara are offered in all-wheel drive and the X, also an all-wheel drive, comes with an additional S Package. The Rubicon is given a 4:1 Rock-Trac part-time 4WD system, the other trims run on a Command-Trac shift-on-the-Fly 4WD system. A 3.8-liter V6 SMPI engine, which produces an impressive power of 202 horsepower, is given a six-speed manual transmission.Body and stylingA fuel-saver indicator, standard compass and outside temperature display, fog lamps, tow hooks and larger sliding sun visors with mirrors have joined the list of standard features. The Sahara now rolls on the new standard Satin Silver 18-inch aluminum wheels while the Rubicon rolls on new atin Carbon 17-inch aluminum wheels. A standard full-length floor console replaces mini console on base two-door Wrangler Sport and Uconnect Phone has been included with optional Uconnect Navigation. Compass and outside temperature readout standard on all models, cloth seats replace standard vinyl seats on base two-door Wrangler Sport, larger, sliding sun visors with mirrors, new front dome lamp with on/off switch and new two-tone leather seating available on Sahara and Rubicon are the other changes made for 2010. The 2010 Jeep Wrangler has a total passenger volume of 102.9 cubic feet; when the rear seats are folded the cargo volume can go up to 56.5 cu ft. Premium cloth seats with adjustable head rests and stain repel; height-adjustable driver's seat; AM/FM stereo radio with in-dash CD Player/MP3 capability; Sirius satellite radio; six speakers; 368-watt seven-speaker Infinity sound system including subwoofer; 1-year Sirius radio service; full-length floor console; next generation Dana 44 heavy duty front axle; air conditioning; remote keyless entry; and leather-wrapped steering wheel with speed control are some of the highlights of the 2010 Jeep Wrangler's interiors.Safety FeaturesAdvanced multistage front air bags; traction control; electronic roll mitigation; tire pressure monitoring warning signal; Electronic Stability Program consisting of four-wheel anti-lock brakes and all-speed traction control; side impact door beams; and an energy-absorbing steering column are some safety features on the 2010 Jeep Wrangler. |
